BALTIMORE (AP) — Gregg Williams has no idea whether

he’s going shed the interim label and return as coach of the Cleveland Browns. It sure seems as if he wants to E.J. Gaines Color Rush Jersey , though, so he can finish what he started. After replacing Hue Jackson in late October and rallying the Browns (7-8-1) to within a victory of a winning record, Williams is confident that no matter who’s in charge next year, the woebegone franchise is headed in the right direction with Baker Mayfield at quarterback.“He’s just scratched the surface,” Williams said. “If you think he’s satisfied with that, there’s no way, no how.”Mayfield nearly rallied the Browns from a 13-point halftime deficit Sunday in a 26-24 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. Down by nine points with seven minutes left, Cleveland got within a few yards of moving in position for a game-winning field goal in the final minute.“I’m proud of how they responded,” Williams said.Despite the loss, the Browns won seven more games than last year and finished with their best record since 2007 https://www.brownsfanshop.com/Damarious-Randall-Jersey , their most recent winning season.“Coach Williams did a great job keeping us motivated and getting us to play hard,” running back Nick Chubb said. “He always got the best out of us.”Pushing a playoff-bound Ravens team to the brink of elimination was merely a moral victory for Williams and the Browns. Williams was non-committal about his future, declining to reveal whether he’d be interviewed for the permanent coaching role now that the regular season is finished. But he sounds a lot like a coach who would like the chance to lead this team to the playoffs.“I really like this young team, and I’ve said this before: I turned down multiple jobs to come to Cleveland,” he said. “I really wanted the opportunity to come here.”It helps that Williams has a rising star in Mayfield, who threw three touchdowns Sunday to eclipse Peyton Manning and Russell Wilson for TD passes by a rookie. Mayfield finished with 27, but couldn’t pull off a comeback to knock the AFC North champion Ravens out of the playoffs.Williams could have trotted kicker Greg Joseph out to try a long game-winning field goal, but opted to ride as far as Mayfield could take him.“We put it in Baker’s hands,” Williams said. “That’s my choice, OK? That’s who I wanted to see with the last opportunity was him.”Mayfield Darren Fells Jersey , who finished 23 of 42 for 376 yards, was pleased with his rookie campaign . He set the rookie TD record in just 13 games after replacing veteran Tyrod Taylor and threw for touchdowns in 13 consecutive starts. But his success — and the Browns’ best record in more than a decade — has only made him hungrier to take another positive step in the turnaround.“I think going forward, for me, there’s a lot of room for improvement,” Mayfield said. “That’s promising for our team going forward. If we were satisfied, if we felt we had it figured it, we’d be sadly mistaken.”Asked if he wanted to see changes in the coaching staff, Mayfield didn’t speak directly about Williams, but said: “The changes we made speak for themselves. All I want is for someone to put us in a position to win.” When all else fails, still look to Pittsburgh for revenge-themed weeks." />Skip to main contentclockmenumore-arrownoyesDawgs EDTThis week has been titled “revenge week” for the SB Nation NFL blogs T. J. Carrie Color Rush Jersey , where we’re tasked with thinking about how or who the Browns will seek revenge on for the upcoming season. There are games that we will get very excited for, like taking on the New England Patriots and wanting to make a statement against the team that has owned the AFC for so long. I could circle back to Week 17 last year, because the Browns fell short against the Ravens, giving Lamar Jackson a 1-0 edge over Baker Mayfield. Ultimately, though, it still goes back to the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Browns and Steelers squared off in Week 1 last year. With Tyrod Taylor at quarterback, the game finished in a 21-21 tie. Yes, the Browns long “losing streak” ended, but it felt so incomplete, especially since Cleveland had forced so many turnovers. When the two teams faced off again https://www.brownsfanshop.com , Pittsburgh won 33-18. They did not make the playoffs, but in the final week of the season, they would have been in had Cleveland taken care of Baltimore. The Steelers had some disarray this offseason, losing star receiver Antonio Brown. Ben Roethlisberger is still around, and it’s been way too long since Cleveland has taken it to the Steelers to such an extent where Pittsburgh fans can be agitated and realize that the rivalry is serious again.Scheduling this year dictates that the Browns won’t face the Steelers until Week 11 (and then again in Week 13). By then, we should know what type of football team the Browns are — hopefully they are well in the playoff hunt, and Myles Garrett can especially exact revenge for his long-desired wish to take Roethlisberger down.

Naturally Quinten Rollins Jersey , the team has sunk to the lower reaches of SB Nation’s weekly NFL power rankings, coming in at No. 20.”The Packers have fallen so low that the Browns actually rank above them. How is that possible of a Rodgers-led team? Well, Mike McCarthy is largely to blame; it will take a miracle for the Packers to make the playoffs.”Miracle or not, this represents the nadir for the McCarthy era in Green Bay.As for the rest of the NFC North, the Chicago Bears lead the way at No. 4 (up two spots from a week prior). The Minnesota Vikings don’t trail by much Brett Hundley Color Rush Jersey , coming in at No. 11 (up two). The Detroit Lions still hold the back position, ranking 23rd (down one).Elsewhere on the internet, the Packers have fallen nearly as far. NFL.com and ESPN have them 15th and 16th respectively. Yahoo Sports slotted Green Bay in at No. 18 while USA Today placed them at No. 20. Hockenson, Chris LindstromTwitterFacebookRedditPocketFlipboardEmailPhoto by Michael Hickey/Getty ImagesSB Nation’s penultimate draft of 2019 has arrived. In just a few days, the Green Bay Packers and other teams will make their choices official and end the months-long speculation about prospects. Draft guru Dan Kadar can also go on his long-awaited vacation to Tahiti https://www.thepackersfanshop.com/Kyle-Murphy-Jersey , a deserved break from the grind of college tape and player evaluation. In Kadar’s second-to-last 2019 mock draft, he sees the Packers going in familiar and understandable directions with their first-round picks. While tight ends rarely justify such an early selection, Iowa’s T.J. Hockenson possess rare two-way ability for a prospect at the position and the high-end athletic profile to justify consideration. Furthermore, the value of a “Y” tight end in Matt LaFleur’s offense will make Hockenson a difficult option to refuse should he remain on the board for the Packers.Several offensive-line prospects fit the Packers, but none more so than Boston College’s Chris Lindstrom. Acme Packing Company also selected Lindstrom here in the SB Nation NFL writer mock draft Justin Vogel Jersey , arguing Lindstrom’s athletic profile, impressive college track record, and schematic fit made him a strong choice for Green Bay:

Those complaints, at first glance, are entirely warranted. However, much of what has been written doesn’t tell the entire story. We all became aware of the sexual assault allegations on Wednesday after The Fountain Hopper (FoHo), an independent student-run newspaper not affiliated with Stanford, acquired documents and published a story naming Okereke as the football player detailed in a New York Times article in December 2016. The New York Times (NYT) did not name the woman or Okereke in their reporting. It is unclear how FoHo obtained these documents. Under Title IX Matt Slauson Color Rush Jersey , these documents are generally considered confidential and are not disclosed to the public. The revised guidance for Title IX states, “. . . a school should be aware of the confidentiality concerns of an accused employee or student. Publicized accusations of sexual harassment, if ultimately found to be false, may nevertheless irreparably damage the reputation of the accused.” This confidentiality standard is applied in order to respect the Due Process Rights of the accused. If allegations are made public, regardless of their veracity, those rights may be violated.Additionally, in the Questions and Answers on Title IX and Sexual Violence published by the Department of Education in 2014, “to the extent possible, a school should only disclose information regarding alleged incidents of sexual violence to individuals who are responsible for handling the school’s response.” Thus, only those involved in the hearing process would have been made aware of the allegations against Okereke. This is likely why this situation was not publicized prior to the draft process. Stanford was following the guidance as provided under Title IX. When questioned by the NYT in the original article, Stanford cited confidentiality rules and federal law as to why they could not discuss details of the case. Stanford discussing the details of this case or voluntarily releasing the documents would likely violate federal law.Again, it is unclear how FoHo obtained these documents. The details of the alleged sexual assault, sadly, are all too common on college campuses. The woman, we’ll call her Anna for consistency as that is what her pseudo-name is in other publications, went to a fraternity party where she met Okereke. According to FoHo, the two went back to Anna’s dorm for an encounter that was initially consensual. However, Anna said she became uncomfortable and withdrew consent. After which, Anna alleges she was raped.Anna reported the sexual assault allegation to Stanford and a Title IX hearing was performed. It became the all too common “he said-she said” debate. FoHo allegedly obtained Facebook messages from Okereke saying he tried to get one of Anna’s friends to attest Anna was black-out drunk on the night in question as an attempt to discredit Anna’s story. However, according to FoHo https://www.coltsfanshop.com/Anthony-Walker-Jersey , Anna’s friend said the conversation with Okereke never occurred and Anna’s friend believed it was an attempt to “put words in his mouth,” according to documents from the case obtained by FoHo.During the investigation and hearing process, Stanford placed a no contact order requiring Okereke to stay away from Anna. Anna alleges Okereke repeatedly violated this order by refusing to leave parties in which they both were present. She tried to obtain a restraining order but was denied. After a nine month process, two separate five person panels found in favor of Anna on a 3-2 vote but, under Stanford’s rules, at least a 4-1 vote is required to find the accused responsible. On it’s face, this decision seems completely unreasonable as Title IX says a school must use a “Preponderance of the Evidence” standard, which typically means more likely than not or 51%. However, under California law, the Preponderance of the Evidence standard requires a super-majority of jurors in a civil case, i.e., 9 out of 12 or 75%. Stanford, at that time, was operating under California law. This is why Stanford required a 4-1 vote, or 80%, to find the accused responsible since that would meet the threshold set out by the State of California. Since this case, Stanford has instituted a new procedure utilizing three experienced panelists that requires a unanimous 3-0 vote in order to find the accused responsible. It should be noted Anna chose not to pursue criminal charges in this case. The NYT and FoHo makes it seem like finding an accused responsible is an almost insurmountable task under Stanford’s system. However, soon after the NYT’s article, Stanford released a statement noting 13 out of 16 cases in 2016 charged by the Title IX coordinator were found in favor of the accuser, not the accused. This would appear to undercut the NYT and FoHo argument that the system itself is fundamentally flawed in favor of the accused. Stanford also contends there are many discrepancies in the NYT story regarding how certain aspects of the investigation were presented and handled by Stanford. So ultimately https://www.coltsfanshop.com , for Colts fans, what more would you want the organization to do?The Colts were unaware of this situation prior to Okereke disclosing it to the team at the Senior Bowl. The Colts did their homework. They did background checks.‬ They spoke with people familiar with the incident. The documents of the proceeding were considered confidential so there was no way of knowing what was said beyond speaking to interested parties. But should the Colts have reached out to the accuser? Yes. Why they didn’t do this is lost on me. My gut says it was likely out of an abundance of caution and to be respectful to the accuser. These things are incredibly sensitive and personal. Asking someone to relive a sexual assault is difficult so the team used their best judgment after conducting their own investigation. A long time reader with experience in vetting sexual assault allegations pointed out to me privately that the team likely engaged in a very sensitive balancing of the pros and cons in making the decision not to reach out. The general consensus in that industry is to not reach out to the accuser, especially in sexual assault allegations. Even so, I understand the team’s perspective. As Ballard noted, there was no punishment from Stanford after a disciplinary hearing and no criminal charges were filed. After conducting their own investigation, the team felt reaching out and speaking to the alleged victim was unnecessary. That doesn’t quite sit right but one can understand why. The Colts spoke not just to Okereke but also to people associated with the university and people close to Okereke about the situation. It is clear that after what they learned the team felt comfortable with Okereke. As a reminder, this situation was in the middle of the Brock Turner case, in which Turner, a Stanford swimmer, was charged and convicted of raping an unconscious woman. Stanford likely would have been extra cautious not to simply overlook sexual assault allegations against an athlete. To be clear, I’m not dismissing the allegations. Sexual assault allegations should not be dismissed. They should be taken seriously. Even though an encounter may begin as consensual, once consent is withdrawn, that person’s wishes should be respected. Despite finding 13 out of 15 other persons responsible in Title IX cases in 2016, Stanford did not find Okereke responsible in this troubling “he said-she said” scenario. ‪Given what we know now, I’m not sure how the Colts could have handled this situation any better after the news came out. Why would the team voluntarily divulge this information prior to or right after drafting Okereke given he was not disciplined by Stanford or charged with a crime? Should they have done more in investigating the situation by reaching out to the alleged victim or her attorney once they were made aware of the allegations? Possibly. However, it may not have changed their perception of the situation. After the team conducted their own investigation, they felt comfortable drafting Okereke. Given the results of the disciplinary process, one should give Okereke the benefit of the doubt. Two separate panels did not find him responsible. No criminal charges were filed.Chris Ballard has always been up front and honest when addressing basically everything related to the Colts. He felt comfortable drafting Okereke. That should tell you something.

SANTA CLARA Earl Thomas III Color Rush Jersey , Calif. (AP) — Star cornerback Richard Sherman agreed to a three-year deal with the San Francisco 49ers on Saturday, one day after being released by the rival Seattle Seahawks.Sherman confirmed in a text message that he agreed to the contract on Saturday after spending the day meeting with the team. ESPN reported that Sherman’s deal is worth up to $39.15 million.Sherman played an integral role in the fierce NFC West rivalry between Seattle and San Francisco earlier this decade. His deflection on a potential game-winning touchdown pass in the 2013 NFC championship game against the 49ers led to an interception that sent the Seahawks to the Super Bowl, which they won.Sherman then celebrated a Thanksgiving night win in a road game against the 49ers the following season by eating a turkey leg on the 50-yard line. Now, the player who was reviled so much by 49ers fans is joining their team after the Seahawks decided he wasn’t worth his $13 million salary for 2018. San Francisco hopes he can make a big impact even as he turns 30 later this month and is coming off an Achilles tendon injury that cost him half of the 2017 season. Sherman also had a cleanup surgery on his opposite ankle during the offseason. The 49ers had a glaring need at cornerback with 2017 third-round pick Ahkello Witherspoon and slot cornerback K’Waun Williams the only players under contract with extensive experience. The Niners believe Sherman can fill that role in a defense modeled by coordinator Robert Saleh after the one that had so much success in Seattle. Saleh was a former defensive assistant with the Seahawks.Sherman became a star in Seattle, bringing a brash attitude and willingness to speak out on any topic to go along with his stellar play. His best seasons came in 2013 and 2014, when Seattle made two Super Bowl appearances, and he has 32 interceptions.Sherman still was one of the better cornerbacks the past three seasons, ranking second in the NFL by allowing just 49.2 percent of passes against him to be caught, according to Pro Football Focus.Sherman played his college ball in the Bay Area at Stanford under former coach Jim Harbaugh, who then went up against Sherman during his four seasons in charge of the 49ers.Niners general manager John Lynch is also a Stanford alum and tweeted out a photo with Sherman. They travel to Minnesota to play the Vikings this Sunday night in a critical game that could very well help decide a Wild Card spot. At present, Minnesota sits in the playoff picture with the sixth and final seed, but the Packers are one game back with a tie in the ledger against the Vikings.A win by the Packers would pull them even with Minnesota and ahead on head-to-head record, but a loss puts them two games back of the Vikings and all of the other playoff contenders in the win column with five to play. The Rams play the Chiefs on Monday Night Football this evening, however, and could pull a half-game ahead of New Orleans before going on a bye next week.Interestingly, three of the NFC’s divisional leaders will be in action on Thanksgiving day, with the Bears in Detroit for the early game, Washington in Dallas in the afternoon, and the Saints hosting the Falcons in the late game.In the hunt7. Seattle Seahawks, 5-5 (week 12: at CAR Sun)8. Dallas Cowboys, 5-5 (week 12: vs. WAS Thu afternoon)9. Green Bay Packers, 4-5-1 (week 12: at MIN SNF)10. Atlanta Falcons, 4-6 (week 12: at NO Thu night)11. Detroit Lions, 4-6 (week 12: vs. CHI Thu afternoon)12. Philadelphia Eagles, 4-6 (week 12: vs. NYG Sun)Look at this mess. There are three teams within a game of the Vikings for the sixth spot and three more just a half-game back of that. Since the Packers play Minnesota on Sunday night this week, they could pull into a tie with Minnesota and then hold the tiebreaker with a 1-0-1 record in head-to-head games. It’s actually fascinating how the schedule sets up this week, as the teams slotted 7th through 9th can each tie a team that is in the playoff hunt and exactly one game ahead of them in the standings. If Seattle DeShone Kizer Jersey , Dallas, and Green Bay defeat Carolina, Washington, and Minnesota respectively, the standings would look very different next week. Dallas would pull into a tie with Washington for the NFC East lead and the 4th seed (taking a lead on tiebreakers), Washington would drop to the 5 seed, and Seattle would take over the 6th and final playoff slot and would hold a head-to-head win over Carolina. That situation would leave the Packers sitting in 8th place behind Carolina but ahead of Minnesota.Washington, however, looks to be in trouble after Alex Smith’s gruesome broken leg on Sunday. It’s not hard to imagine them collapsing down the stretch and falling out of playoff contention, though they will have plenty of opportunities to keep their division lead with four games against NFC East opponents remaining. We’ll have a little bit better idea on Thursday after their game against the Cowboys, but the one way that the Packers can sit in the 6th spot after week 12 is with a win and victories by Washington and Carolina.Ultimately, the upshot is that Green Bay desperately needs to beat Minnesota to have a realistic chance at the postseason. According to Football Outsiders, the Packers still had a 42.2% chance of making the postseason before Thursday’s loss to Seattle, but that number should drop considerably when FO runs their numbers again after Monday night’s game.Trailing Behind13. New York Giants, 3-7 (week 12: at PHI Sun)14. Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 3-7 (week 12: vs. SF Sun)15. Arizona Cardinals, 2-8 (week 12: at LAC Sun)16. San Francisco 49ers, 2-8 (week 12: at TB Sun)These four teams are effectively out of the race, though the Giants and Bucs could theoretically still make a run if they win out. New York has a better possibility if only because their division leader has a much worse record than Tampa’s. Over the next two weeks, Acme Packing Company will take a look each position group on the Green Bay Packers and provide insight into how they performed during the 2018 season. Today, we examine the tight ends. After a strong 2017, even with a plethora of injuries, the Packers seemed to feel confident with the offensive line going into 2018. However, the 2018 season ended up with some mixed reviews. Let’s give a quick overall recap before getting into the individual notes.David Bakhtiari has taken over the mantle from the recently retired Joe Thomas as the best pass blocker in the NFL and we saw a significant improvement from center Corey Linsley, as well. Lane Taylor and Bryan Bulaga played through various injuries for a good chunk of the season as they held down their respective positions. We also saw the team find a couple of competent backups that could make some waves while looking for a starting position in the future. The Packers moved on from right guard Jahri Evans in hopes that Justin McCray would take a hold of the position. His play wasn’t anything special and he struggled with injuries. McCray could not get the position back after he was healthy and the Packers turned to Byron Bell, who didn’t fare too well. Here are some more in depth individual thoughts on the offensive line and the APC grade for 2018:STARTERSDavid Bakhtiari - LTWe’ll start with the easiest player to evaluate on the offensive line. David Bakhtiari is arguably the best left tackle in the NFL today. He gained his first First Team All-Pro selection (he has two Second Team All-Pro selections) this year but was once again absent of the Pro Bowl. If you’re upset about the Pro Bowl snub Tramon Williams Color Rush Jersey , don’t be. Bakhtiari doesn’t need to be named to or attend a pointless scrimmage to show that he’s one of the best players in the league. He agrees as well, as he declined to go to the game as an alternate.Bakhtiari ranked number one by Pro Football Focus in pass protection and while his run grade isn’t as high, it really doesn’t matter. The Packers threw the ball 640 times this season compared to only 333 rushing attempts. Having the best pass blocker in the NFL keeps Aaron Rodgers safe on his blind side and, at only 27 years old, Bakhtiari is hitting his prime as one of the best in the league. Lane Taylor - LGLane Taylor had a subpar year at left guard in compared to previous seasons. Taylor usually has one of the best jobs being sandwiched between David Bakhtiari and Corey Linsley. Those two can cover up for Taylor’s deficiencies as he gets help from Linsley in pass protection but, with the Packers struggling mightily at right guard, Taylor was left by himself in pass pro this year and his weakness showed. He surrendered eight sacks as well as being in the top ten for pressures allowed. As much as he struggles in pass pro, Taylor’s strength comes in the run game. The double teams by Taylor and Linsley can be a thing of beauty and he opened some massive holes for Aaron Jones and Jamaal Williams. He has good power in his steps, gets good leverage on the defenders and can push aside most defensive tackles on his own as well. However, as I mentioned above, the Packers only had 333 rushing attempts this year, which was fewest in the league. So, the Packers didn’t play much into Taylor’s strengths. To get the most from Taylor going forward, the Packers must address the right guard spot. Then, let being surrounded by two of the best in the league help with Taylor’s weaknesses so he can once again be a valuable cog in the offensive line. Corey Linsley - CI think we have an heir apparent to David Bakhtiari as one of the most under-appreciated players in the league in Corey Linsley. Linsley doesn’t get much love in the awards categories but has become one of the best centers in the league. Linsley is the quarterback of the offensive line by getting all the blocking schemes and audibles communicated and blitz recognitions called on the line. While watching the games, if you hear a voice that isn’t Aaron Rodgers, it’s Linsley. It’s amazing how quickly he recognizes what the defense is doing and gets it communicated. On top of that, he keeps getting better at his run blocking and helps his guards constantly in the pass game. Linsley is in the prime of his career and the Packers have him locked up for two more years. Good stability for Green Bay at the center position. Byron Bell - RGHere is where we hit the biggest void of the season for the offensive line. Right guard was a disaster and Byron Bell just happened to be the guy to take the fall for most everything while starting nine games at right guard. Bell looked overmatched at points in every game this year. He was regularly beat in pass protection and didn’t get any push in the run game. To add insult to his poor play, Bell ended the season on injured reserve with a knee injury.Right guard should definitely be the top focus on improving the offensive line in the offseason. There isn’t much in the free agent pool at the guard spot, with Mark Glowinski re-signing with the Colts, so Brian Gutekunst will need to either focus early in the draft at selecting someone or letting one of the younger players take the reigns similar to how Lane Taylor locked in the left guard spot after Josh Sitton was released in 2016. Bryan Bulaga - RTBryan Bulaga had a typical year compared to most of the years in his career. When he was healthy and playing, he was a very good right tackle. His strength comes in his pass protection. Even with all the knee injuries, he still has a quick kick slide and uses his hands as well as anyone. Bulaga is the grinder who knows where his weakness is and uses his technique and strength to make up for those deficiencies. The biggest kick with Bulaga has been his injury problems. While he started 14 games this season, he was in and out of many of those games with various injuries.Bulaga has one year left on his contract and is still a very good player. Keeping him around for 2019 should be in the cards due to there being few, if any, free agents who would be as good as him. However https://www.thepackersfanshop.com/Marcedes-Lewis-Jersey , 2019 could be the swan song for Bulaga as he has the younger Jason Spriggs (or a draft pick) waiting in the wings.TOP RESERVESJason Spriggs, TackleWhile struggling for his first few seasons after being a second round pick in 2016, Jason Spriggs seemed to have turned the corner in the right direction this past season. Spriggs started two games at right tackle and filled in for injuries in 13 games overall, including some snaps at left tackle. The right side definitely fared better for Spriggs as he didn’t look like he had the chops to protect from the left side too well. That doesn’t seem to be a big deal though as Bakhtiari doesn’t look to let go of the left tackle spot anytime soon. While Spriggs still didn’t look like as good as the starters when he played, he has adapted to the NFL over the past few seasons and has shown some promise to possibly taking over at the right tackle spot whenever the Packers move on from Bryan Bulaga. Hopefully, he continues to make progress under new offensive line coach Adam Stenavich otherwise he’ll be destined for a swing tackle role if he sticks around after his contract expires next season.Lucas Patrick, GuardLucas Patrick seems to be progressing similarly to Jason Spriggs. He started slow in his first couple seasons and now has developed into the top reserve for the interior of the offensive line. While he played well in his limited starts, you can see that he needs to improve his footwork and pass blocking to get a permanent starting spot. Patrick started two games at right guard and two games at left guard throughout the season. He has a similar style to Lane Taylor where he is a better run blocker but, being inside, he can have some cracks in his pass protection as he will get help from the center depending on the call. His versatility in the interior makes him valuable and follows a similar path as past reserves who stepped into a starting position. Justin McCray, GuardJustin McCray had a tough 2018. McCray looked to be the next young player to step up and take hold of an open position but injuries got in his way. He started the season at right guard but was replaced by Byron Bell after a shoulder injury in the week three loss to Washington. He got a couple more starts throughout the year but didn’t live up to his strong 2017. The nice thing about McCray is that he is still young and can right the ship. Best case scenario, his experience will give him the opportunity to start fresh and impress Adam Stenavich into considering him for the right guard spot again in 2019. Worst case, he will provide a competent interior backup that will fill in where needed.THE REST Gerhard de Beer, Alex Light, Adam Pankey, Nico Siragusa, Cole MadisonThese five got little to no playing time in 2018. Alex Light and Adam Pankey got a few snaps here and there but nothing significant. The bright spot is the Packers seemed high on those two at the end of the year and will bring good competition for the reserve positions. Gerhard de Beer, who easily wins the best name on the team award, and Nico Siragusa were signed late in the year and will look to make some noise in OTAs and training camp. Cole Madison never reported to the team due to personal issues. Hopefully, he gets those issues taken care of and can show people why the Packers took him in the fourth round last year.OVERALL GRADE: B-minusThe Packers offensive line has some mixed results throughout the 2018 season but they were definitely not a black eye for the offense. They did struggle giving up 53 sacks this years, but they also did have Aaron Rodgers holding onto the ball longer than usual and they also threw the ball the third most times in the league. Even with the fewest rushing attempts in the league, they paved the way for the running backs to average five yards per attempt, the second highest yards per attempt in the league. Sure a lot of that might be due to Aaron Jones breaking some huge gains but he’s not getting all those yards without someone opening holes for him. While the right guard position was the weak point, the rest of the starters stayed healthy most of the year and we saw Jason Spriggs and Lucas Patrick prove to be quality backups. The future remains fairly solid for new offensive line coach Adam Stenavich. He will have to find a replacement at right guard but the rest should be around in 2019. One thing is for sure: another year of the majority of the offensive line returning means a strong cohesion going forward.

kicker in awe of the stats of a Hall of Famer such as Morten Andersen. As a rookie in New England Jabaal Sheard Jersey , the lofty numbers seemed as out of reach as a 70-yard field goal.“I remember playing against him early in the league going, so many points, no one’s even going to come close,” Vinatieri said.Come close?Vinatieri is on the brink of passing Andersen in career field goals and total points and putting the final bows on a career that has him destined for Canton, Ohio. The 45-year-old Vinatieri kicked field goals of 35, 31 and 28 yards on Sunday to match Andersen for most field goals in NFL history with 565.Vinatieri added an extra point to finish with 10 points in the game, putting him 33 shy of matching Andersen (2,544) for the most points scored in NFL history.“That’s the one,” Vinatieri said. “Nobody every pays attention to who has the most field goals. It’s who’s got the most points. They almost run hand-in-hand. It’d be fun if it happens.”The scoring mark could fall in a few weeks. But on a soggy Sunday in Philadelphia, Vinatieri at least snagged a share of Andersen’s field-goal record. The Colts couldn’t take advantage in a 20-16 loss to the Super Bowl champion Eagles Pierre Desir Color Rush Jersey , setting the stage for Vinatieri to set the field goal record next week at home against the Houston Texans.“It’s obviously special,” Vinatieri said, “but gosh dang it, when you do it on a close game and you lose, it just doesn’t feel quite the same. It’s a record that’s been a long time coming. I just appreciate the opportunities I have.”Andersen needed 709 attempts to set the record; Vinatieri just 670 in 23 seasons to tie.“We put him in situations to give us three and he delivers every time,” Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton said.Vinatieri was already the NFL’s postseason record holder for scoring (234) and field goals (56); and he hit two Super Bowl winners in the final minute. He’s won four Super Bowls and was the only unanimous selection on the Super Bowl 50 Golden Team.He made 263 field goals in 10 years with the New England Patriots and has 302 with the Colts.Few fans will forget the two kicks he made in the Snow Bowl, or “Tuck Rule” game, to help New England beat Oakland in a divisional-round playoff game following the 2001 season. It helped the Patriots capture their first Super Bowl.Last year, the oldest player in the league made a seemingly impossible extra point to force overtime in a December blizzard in Buffalo and helped keep the Colts within striking distance just 13 days later in monsoon-like weather in Baltimore.Last year, with a new long snapper and a new holder https://www.coltsfanshop.com/Kemoko-Turay-Jersey , Vinatieri made 85.3 percent of his field goals.“I like to step out there and kick field goals,” he said, “but it’s better kicking extra points, that’s for sure.”Vinatieri remembers talking to Andersen, one of only two full-time kickers in the Pro Football Hall of Fame, about the secrets to enjoying a long, successful career.Staying healthy, for sure. And the other?“Stubbornness, probably,” Vinatieri said Anthony Castonzo Jersey , smiling. “There’s a lot of great young guys around and I think my joy of being around these young guys and trying to compete against guys half my age … I’d contribute that to it a little bit.” Back by resoundingly popular demand, the Stampede Blue writing staff presents the first annual Anthony Arena Memorial NFL Draft Guide and it’s only $4.99. thriller Derrick Kindred Jersey , the Cleveland Browns‘ days as a laughingstock appear over. They look legit. And with a rookie star leading them, one of the NFL’s best feel-good stories this season.Baker Mayfield displayed some of the late magic he performed routinely for Oklahoma and Greg Joseph lined a 37-yard field goal that may have been deflected through the uprights with two seconds left in overtime to give Cleveland its second win, 12-9 on Sunday over the Baltimore Ravens. The Browns (2-2-1) aren’t the Browns any more. By beating one of the AFC’s perennial playoff teams, the Browns showed more evidence that they’re on the rise and that Mayfield, the No. 1 overall pick who has an energized a city desperate for football success, might be the quarterback to restore a team that went just 1-31 in the past two seasons.“There is just something about this young man,” Browns coach Hue Jackson said of Mayfield, who passed for 324 yards and a TD in winning his second career start. “He has a feel to him. He does not blink at situations or opportunities.”Mayfield didn’t bat an eye against the league’s second-ranked defense.Backed up near his goal line late in OT after an 11-yard loss on first down, Mayfield went to work.He scrambled for 13 yards on second down and then bought time in the pocket before firing a pass to undrafted rookie Derrick Willies, who worked his way down the sideline for 39 yards. After Duke Johnson picked up 24 yards on three running plays, Joseph, another rookie cast-off signed after Week 2, kicked a field goal that never got more than 12 feet off the ground as the Browns snapped an 18-game winless streak in the AFC North.Mayfield was afraid to watch Joseph’s kick. It was the only time he showed any fear. The Ravens were impressed.“Baker is one of those guys, he’s a playmaker,” Baltimore safety Tony Jefferson said. “He has that ‘it’ factor to him. We were talking a little trash on the field. You have to respect a guy like that, especially a rookie who’s coming into a defense like ours.”It was the second straight week the Browns went to overtime Myles Garrett Color Rush Jersey , and Mayfield joked that he hopes all his starts aren’t as nerve-wracking.But unlike a week ago in Oakland, where the Browns blew a 14-point lead and had two questionable calls by the officials ago against them, they finished the job and won for the first time in 37 Sunday games.“It’s huge for confidence,” Mayfield said. “I think that we have been in this situation a lot. No, it has not gone our way. We had one tie and two losses. It is good to see the other side of it. Once we get into the situation, we have been there before but able to come out with it. Just keep pushing. We were frustrated that we did not score as many times as we wanted, but we never gave up.“Our guys believed in it.”In Cleveland, everyone is starting to believe.RAVENS REMORSEBaltimore came in riding momentum after beating Pittsburgh last week. However, the Ravens were flat and flopped.Quarterback Joe Flacco never got in sync with his receivers and Michael Crabtree let a potential game-winning TD pass slip through his hands in the final minute of regulation.Baltimore’s defense still hasn’t given up a TD in the second half this season, but the Ravens couldn’t get a big stop when they needed it.“I don’t think it’s anything to hit the panic button on,” defensive end Terrell Suggs said. “The path that we’re on is a force. It’s not a straight line. I’d have loved for us to go 15-1 this year, but 14-2 is still up there.”HIGGINS HURTBrowns wide receiver Rashard Higgins‘ breakout season could have a setback.Higgins sustained a knee injury in the fourth quarter and will undergo an MRI on Monday. Before he left, Higgins scored the game’s only TD, a 19-yard pass from Mayfield and finished with three catches for 66 yards.Willies came in with zero receptions, but more than filled in for Higgins.“Rashard made some huge catches early in the game, but I watched Willies walk in there and make plays towards the end https://www.brownsfanshop.com/Rashard-Higgins-Jersey ,” Jackson said. “That was outstanding. That is what pro football is.”Former Tennessee receiver Rishard Matthews is scheduled to work out for the Browns on Monday. The free agent was granted his release by the Titans last month.WHISTLE BLOWERSA week after they felt robbed by the officials, the Browns had more questions about how the game was called. On fourth down in OT, receiver Jarvis Landry was flattened by cornerback Brandon Carr as he ran a sideline route. Mayfield threw deep on the play, and the officials ruled the pass was uncatchable and therefore no penalty was called.“No defender can impede the progress of a receiver beyond five yards, I know that,” said Landry, who had five catches for 69 yards. “It’s something we are going to have to play through because I don’t think it’s going to stop. It’s going to make our team better.” The Jacksonville Jaguars traded for Cleveland running back Carlos Hyde on Friday, adding a proven starter while Leonard Fournette progresses slowly from a strained right hamstring. The Browns (2-3-1) will get a 2019 fifth-round draft pick from the Jaguars in exchange for Hyde, who has 382 yards rushing and five touchdowns in his first season in Cleveland. Hyde signed a three-year, $15.25 million contract in March. The Jaguars (3-3) were willing to take on the financial commitment because leading rusher T.J. Yeldon will become a free agent at the end of this season. So will third-stringer Corey Grant, who was placed on injured reserve last week because of a foot injury. The Jaguars signed veteran Jamaal Charles to a one-year contract to replace Grant.Fournette was ruled out for Sunday’s game against Houston. It will be the fifth game he’s missed this season because of the nagging injury.More Jacksonville Jaguars newsJaguars, Buccaneers to get international as NFL plans for 4 London games, 1 Mexico City game in 2019Jaguars RB Leonard Fournette reportedly yelled at hecklers during Titans’ game in response to ‘racial slurs’Jaguars’ woes continue as Derrick Henry rushes into NFL record book in Titans’ victoryPreview: Jaguars look to play spoiler as Titans fight to keep playoff hopes aliveJaguars silence Andrew Luck with stout defense in shutout win over ColtsCleveland had seemed pleased with Hyde, but his departure clears the way for rookie Nick Chubb to be the team’s primary back. He’s averaging nearly 10 yards per carry.Browns general manager John Dorsey continues to revamp the team’s roster and add picks. In addition to their own picks in the first six rounds, the Browns acquired a third-rounder from New England, Jacksonville’s fifth-rounder Joe Thomas Jersey , another fifth-rounder from New England and a seventh-rounder from Jacksonville. The NFL trading deadline is Oct. 30.The Jaguars built their offense around Fournette, a bruising runner and the fourth overall pick in the 2017 draft. He tried to return after missing two games earlier this season but re-injured his hamstring and has been sidelined since. Yeldon, meanwhile, is dealing with foot and ankle injuries.Making Jacksonville’s offense even more stagnant, the team is without its top two left tackles, its top two tight ends and its leading receiver from 2017.The 28-year-old Hyde was off to an impressive start in Cleveland. But he was taking playing time away from Chubb, who scored on two long touchdown runs at Oakland on Sept. 30 and enters Sunday’s game averaging 10.8 yards on 16 carries. Also, running back Duke Johnson had gone from being a dual threat to mainly a receiver. He’s had just 19 carries this season.Earlier this week, Browns coach Hue Jackson said it was vital to get Chubb more touches. Chubb had only three carries for 25 yards last week in a loss to the Los Angeles Chargers.“We need to get him more chances,” Jackson said. “But I think sometimes the game changes, you get behind and you need Duke Johnson out there because that is what he does well 鈥?catch the ball and run it. I think that is what you were seeing yesterday. As these games get a little closer, they do not get too far away and we can get up whatever that is, we do need to give Nick Chubb more carries.”

Jimmy Graham’s first season in a Green Bay Packers uniform was less

than stellar. The tight end J'Mon Moore Color Rush Jersey , who came over from the Seattle Seahawks as a free agent, was expected to provide a big impact in the middle of the field as a big-bodied receiving option for quarterback Aaron Rodgers. That impact was muted. Graham caught 55 passes for 636 yards, an average of 11.6 yards per reception, and those numbers exceeded his 2017 totals in both yardage and average. However, Graham caught just two touchdown passes, down massively from ten such catches the prior year for the Seahawks. Furthermore, he went through stretches in which he was entirely a non-factor; although Graham caught a pass in all 16 games, he had two or fewer receptions six times and had just six games with four or more catches.Although Graham’s free agent contract paid him $13 million in the first year of the deal and scheduled out $30 million in total compensation over three years, the Packers could have had an out this season. APC broke down the team’s options for Graham last week: keeping him or cutting him one of two different ways. However, it seems that the Packers are moving ahead with Graham in their plans for the 2019 season. That report comes from NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport on Tuesday afternoon. Although situations can change, Rapoport’s sources indicate that the team plans to keep Graham for at least one more year. Doing so will mean paying Graham a $5 million roster bonus shortly after the 2019 league year begins in March, and Graham will carry a salary cap hit of $12.67 million this season. The hope for Packers fans is that the new coaching staff under Matt LaFleur can help justify that cap hit and get more out of Graham than Mike McCarthy did. Under McCarthy, Graham was often used as an in-line tight end and asked to block. However, Graham’s ability and effort as a blocker are mediocre at best, despite his 6-foot-7, 265-pound frame. In addition https://www.thepackersfanshop.com/Nick-Perry-Jersey , two former Packers tight ends, Martellus Bennett and Marcedes Lewis, joked this offseason about McCarthy’s scheme being poor for true in-line tight ends to make an impact. Perhaps this, combined with casting Graham in that role, contributed to his so-so production as a receiver. The other possibility is that Graham’s physical tools are leaving him. He does not appear on film to possess the elite speed or quickness that made him so dangerous as a member of the New Orleans Saints early in his career. LaFleur will need to evaluate his abilities and put him in a position for him to succeed. If Graham fails to impress again this fall, the Packers would be able to move on easily prior to the 2020 season. His contract would carry just a $3.67 million hit on the salary cap for 2020 if the team were to release him then, and that would free up $8 million in cap space that year. For now, however, Graham appears to be in the Packers’ plans for the upcoming season. With the reveal of the top two players on Friday, our countdown was complete. However, this week we have a few other items to analyze about that breakdown. First up, let’s take a look at how the Packers’ eight-man draft class ranked individually, as the players did not finish in order of selection. In fact, the top two players were flipped, and there is another set of picks out of order later on.We’ll also take a look at a few of the top undrafted rookies in this year’s class. Draft Picks17. Darnell Savage Davante Adams Jersey , Jr., S (1.21)Though not the team’s first draft pick in April, Savage edged out Rashan Gary for the top spot among the 2019 rookie class. The primary reason is that he appears a bit more pro-ready — the transition from college football to the NFL looks like it should be a bit quicker for him than for Gary, who will need to learn the finer points of rushing from a two-point stance.Savage’s 4.36 speed will play well immediately, and he is the only rookie who lined up with the starters to start OTAs. Look for him to be a full-time starter from week one. T-18. Rashan Gary, EDGE (1.12)While Gary heard his name nine spots before Savage, we had him slightly behind the Maryland safety. Still, he has been drawing rave reviews from everyone in spring camp so far, perhaps most of all from outside linebackers coach Mike Smith. Edge rushers with his combination of speed, size, and athleticism are incredibly rare, and concerns about his lack of sack production in college have been alleviated by learning more about his role on the Michigan defense. Check out this Locked On Packers podcast with Michigan DC Don Brown for more on that.T-25. Elgton Jenkins, OG (2.44)A great college center, Jenkins is clearly a guard now in Green Bay, and he got some run with the starters during last week’s open OTA practice. He may not be a starter this year, but there’s a case to be made that he’s one of the Packers’ five best linemen today. In fact Josh Jones Color Rush Jersey , he narrowly missed out on that in our composite rankings, falling just two spots behind left guard Lane Taylor. Jenkins should provide valuable injury insurance across the interior of the offensive line before taking over a starting position no later than 2020.33. Jace Sternberger, TE (3.75)The Packers’ only pass-receiver pick in this year’s draft was Sternberger, who had a tremendous final collegiate season for Texas A&M. He ranked a few spots ahead of Marcedes Lewis, the veteran tight end, though Lewis will likely see more snaps this year in Matt LaFleur’s offense. What Sternberger brings is significant receiving talent, and the Packers would do well to sprinkle him in at the slot or H-back alignments as he learns to develop his in-line blocking skills.T-36. Kingsley Keke, DL (5.150)Despite going 75 picks after Sternberger, Keke comes in just three slots below him in our rankings. Hailed as one of the best value picks of the draft, Keke should slide in for 2019 as an interior rusher and primary backup for Mike Daniels at the three-technique position. Another terrific athlete for his size, Keke dropped weight to play on the edge as a senior but showed at the Senior Bowl why the 3-tech spot will be his best position in the NFL. Look for him to be an immediate contributor to the defensive line rotation as a rookie.45. Dexter Williams, RB (6.194)The second of the Packers’ two sixth-round picks gets the higher ranking here, as Williams comes in ahead of Ka’Dar Hollman. Perhaps it’s the fact that Williams almost looks like a carbon copy of Aaron Jones in the running game that gets him the spot; the two both have quick feet and are explosive with good vision — possessing all the traits one would want for a zone running game. Williams also showed some decent receiving ability, so he should make for a great option to relieve Jones when the team is not looking for a change of pace (which Jamaal Williams should provide).51. Ka’Dar Hollman, CB (6.185) Although Hollman comes up a bit short of the player drafted after him, his speed and his story are both impressive. Working his way up to scholarship after having no D-I offers https://www.thepackersfanshop.com/David-...ari-Jersey , Hollman harnessed that sub-4.4 speed and became an excellent cornerback at Toledo. He’ll likely be fighting for special teams snaps this season, but a gunner with the ability to step in on defense in a pinch will have value on this team.56. Ty Summers, ILB (7.226)The Packers’ final pick gets the last spot among the draftees, but Summers might be underestimated here. He’s another great athlete who will be called upon for special teams contributions immediately, but there are opportunities next to Blake Martinez on defense. Summers should get a chance to compete with James Crawford for the primary backup inside linebacker role, and he could even end up giving Oren Burks a run for his money in the starting lineup.Top UDFAs63. Curtis Bolton, ILB67. Yosh Nijman, OT70. Randy Ramsey, EDGE72. Greg Roberts, EDGE76. Manny Wilkins, QBOf the Packers’ rookies, these five were ranked as our top options. Bolton is a bit undersized, but he’s a great athlete who would fit in nicely as a special teamer and weak-side inside linebacker. Nijman posted one of the best offensive tackle workouts in history when adding his Pro Day 3-cone to his Combine results, and he would be a no-brainer stash on the practice squad if he doesn’t show enough to quite make the 53. Ramsey and Roberts bring production and athleticism to the pass rush, while Wilkins was a wily quarterback with consistent college production who could be groomed as a decent backup.
